Mr. Barnabas O. Olise is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience spanning accounting, auditing, banking operations, risk management, internal control, budgetary planning, corporate governance, and strategic leadership. A results-oriented professional, he has built a reputation for leading high-performing teams and driving organizational excellence.
He began his career in December 1992 with Deloitte, an international accounting firm, where he received comprehensive training in accounting, auditing, consulting, and taxation. His professional exposure at Deloitte covered nearly all sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, banking, oil and gas, education, insurance, government, and non-profit organizations.
After eight years at Deloitte, he transitioned to Intercontinental Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc) in January 2001, where he held various leadership roles across inspection, internal control, corporate services, branch development, and finance. He was later deployed to Ghana as the pioneer Divisional Head, Finance and Business Support, where he played a pivotal role in establishing Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited (now Access Bank Ghana Limited).
Upon his return, he led the bank’s nationwide expansion, increasing its branch network from 198 to 398 branches in just two years—a remarkable achievement still recognized as a benchmark in project execution and strategic growth within the Nigerian banking industry.
In December 2009, Mr. Olise ventured into consulting, founding Enterprise Value Matrix Consult Limited (EVMCL), a multidisciplinary advisory firm where he served as Managing Consultant/CEO. In January 2014, he joined Interkel Nigeria Limited, a leading construction company, first as a consultant and later as Executive Director, Strategy & Business Development, serving until December 2020.
He has served on several corporate boards, including Coronation Insurance Plc (2011–2020), Coronation Life Assurance Limited (2014–present), Coronation Securities Limited (2020–present), Cakasa (Nigeria) Company Limited (2020–present), and The 355 Group (2022–present).
Mr. Olise holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA, ICAN).
He is happily married with children.
